How to apply

  1. Program Description

    Power Down the Crown is a voluntary building energy performance benchmarking program. Benchmarking building energy use can provide energy savings and reduce operating expenses. Here’s how organizations who participate in this program can benefit:
     

    • Gain elevated public recognition by leveraging the city’s promotional channels to showcase your organization’s impact
    • Unlock access to valuable energy efficiency rebates, programs, and incentive opportunities designed to significantly lower utility costs
    • Receive technical support for tracking energy data

  2. Eligibility Requirements

    To qualify for Power Down the Crown, organizations must:
     

    • Own, manage, or operate public or private buildings in Charlotte
    • Be willing to share energy data with the program
